Ogdensburg Command Performance 2014-15 season includes Beatles, Beach Boys, Patsy Cline tributes, Glenn Miller Orchestra

OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg Command Performances is going into its 51st season and due to renovations at George Hall Auditorium, will host its 2014-2015 shows at Massena and Gouverneur high school auditoriums.

Ticket prices range from $15 to $37 for single shows or $61 to $158 for season passes.

They can be purchased from www.ilovetheatre.org or by calling 393-3745.

The season opens in Gouverneur on Oct. 9 with Beach Boys tribute act Beach Party Boys. They not only play hits including Good Vibrations, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, California Girls and Kokomo, but they also dress like the band in their heyday.

On Oct. 27 in Gouverneur, Brad Zinn will present a tribute to classic American comedians in “Those Felt Hat and Big Cigar Funny Men." He will portray 23 classic humorists including Johnny Carson, Will Rogers, George Burns, Jack Benny, W.C. Fields, Groucho Marx and Red Skelton.

"Take A Close Walk With Patsy Cline" is Nov. 5 in Gouverneur. Sanctioned by the Patsy Cline Estate, the show pays tribute to the music, life and times of Patsy Cline, portrayed by Julie Johnson.

On Apr. 10 in Massena, Red, HOT…and Blue! from Branson, Miss. presents tunes from the Roaring 20s and big band era. It includes a song and dance revue, video footage from the era and performers using upwards of 100 costumes.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra will come to Massena on Apr. 27. First formed in the late 1930s, the 16-piece ensemble still tours today under direction of Nick Hilscher. He and singer Natalie Angst perform vocals.

The OCP series will round out May 15 in Massena with "Liverpool Legends," a Beatles tribute arranged by George Harrison's sister Louise Harrison. The performance covers the group's entire career, including solo ventures and includes costume changes, vintage instruments and special effects.

All shows start at 7:45 p.m. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the box office opens at 6:45 p.m. From 6:45 to 7:15 p.m., attendees can partake in pre-show chats with the cast of that night's show.
