OGDESNSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Free Academy Drama Club and Music Department will present their production of Once Upon a Mattress in the George Hall Auditorium on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

Showtime for both performances will be at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students.

In this hilarious tweaking of the fairy tale, "The Princess and the Pea", Queen Aggravain (Rylee Bresett) has ruled that none may marry until her son, Prince Dauntless (Andrew Smith) marries.

However, she manages to sabotage every princess that comes along.

When Sir Harry (Gerard Powers) and Lady Larken (Jillian LeBel) learn that they are going to be parents, wed or not, Sir Harry goes off to the swamps and brings back Princess Winnifred (Hailey Weber), or "Fred" to her friends.

The queen is horrified and immediately begins to scheme, but Winnifred, with some help from Sir Harry, King Sextimus (Garrett Bresett), the Minstrel (Jordan Sovie) and the Jester (Cadence Payne), isn't going to be quite so easy to get rid of.

Directed by Sara Pabis and assisted by Michael Rabideau, OFA’s Dramatics Advisors, the cast and crew of fifty students have worked diligently since September to mount this musical comedy, said a press release from the school.
