MASSENA—The New York Power Authority (NYPA)’s December matinee schedule will include a selection of holiday movies featuring contemporary themes and new twists on seasonal traditions. The movie presentations are admission-free and perfect for the entire family.
The movies will be shown Fridays in December at the Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center auditorium at 1:30 p.m. Free popcorn will be available for the movie showings.
The December schedule is:
• Dec. 3: “Four Christmases” (2008). A couple struggles to visit all four of their divorced parents on Christmas Day.
• Dec. 10: “Deck the Halls” (2006). Two neighbors have it out after one of them decorates his house for the holidays so brightly that it can be seen from space.
• Dec. 17: “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” (2010). When three ghosts take penny-pinching Scrooge on an eye-opening journey, he discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
NYPA will also be showing family-friendly movies on Dec. 27, 28, 29 and 30, during the school break.
That movie schedule will be announced shortly.
