NORWOOD -- The Norwood Public Library will hold a series of holiday contests during November and December, including a reading contest and a Christmas decoration contest.
The Children’s Holiday Reading Contest is already underway and will run until Dec. 11. Children under the age of 12 can win special prizes for reading the most books in their age group. Books must be borrowed from the library to count toward the contest. Winners will be announced at the Christmas party Wednesday, Dec. 12.
A “Decorate the Library” contest will provide entertainment for adult library patrons. Crafted decorations in any medium will be accepted, and entries must be submitted by Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. Patrons can vote for the best decoration at the Dec. 12 Christmas party.
Other events include the board of trustees meeting Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. and the Friends of Norwood Library book sale, which is also going on now.
In celebration of National Game and Puzzle Week, Nov. 18 to Nov. 24, the library will have a community puzzle available for patrons to work on.
