NORWOOD -- The first Norwood Beach Duathlon event of the summer is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19.
The duathlon is a 1.5-mile run, an 8-mile bike ride and a second 1.5-mile run.
Registration begins at 5:45 p.m. and the race begins at 6:30 p.m. It is $15 for all three races this summer with a T-shirt included, or $5 per race.
All bikers must wear a helmet and anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian signature.
The Duathlon will only be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm or severe rain.
Proceeds will benefit the John Purvis scholarship fund.
The remaining races are on July 17 and Aug. 21.
