NORWOOD -- The Norwood American Legion, 10 Maple St., has announced an assortment of events scheduled for late October and November.
A Kids Halloween Party will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. The free party will feature gift bags, balloons, music, crafts, coloring and a buffet of "groolin' goodies." Top costumes will receive cash prizes. The public is welcome.
A craft show will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. Lunch will be available. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
The second Bartenders Bash featuring the Max Ryder Band will run from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12. Food will be served and admission is free. The public is invited.
A Veterans Day ceremony at the monuments will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. A complimentary luncheon will follow the ceremony.
A Shuffleboard "Turkey Shoot" will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20. The double elimination tournament will feature two-person teams and cost is $5 per shooter.
