OGDENSBURG -- The Northern New York Activity Association will host its first Educational Seminar on Aug. 1 at the Dobisky Center.
Topics offered include "The Electronic Age" by Sarah Matthews, "Hand Bells? In a Nursing Home?" by Dawn Kimble and Patience Boswell, "Art with Dementia" by Linda Redhead and "Care Planning and Documentation" by Kathy Hughes.
The conference is designed to aid those who work with the elderly.
The program will run from 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and the cost per person is $65 for non-members, $60 for members, with Canadian rates available.
Sign-up deadline is July 28.
The conference will also host a fundraiser that day with Books are Fun and Jewelry is Fun selliing their goods. The public is invited to come to the Dobisky Center from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. to browse merchandise.
