POTSDAM – The First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam and the St. Lawrence River Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will hold their seventh North Country Church Choir workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 25.
The workshop is for those interested in church choral music, such as directors, singers, organists, pastors and students.
The centerpiece of the workshop will be a packet of mostly 2010 publications, specially selected for North Country churches, anthems for every season and general purpose.
Dr. Lonel Woods, Crane School faculty and choral director at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, will be the clinician. He will lead the reading sessions and demonstrate good singing and rehearsal techniques.
A $15 fee will cover the cost of the packet and a light lunch. Call the church at 265-9434 to pre-register.
