RUSSELL -- The Russell Opera House and See More Players will present an original play by John Berbrich, “The Mutants of Dr. X,” Saturday Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.
Berbrich describes the play as "a terrifying Halloween comedy."
Set in the modern day, Dr X endeavors to entertain his sister Madam Z, while he is in the middle of conducting scientific experiments. Dr. X’s housekeeper, Delphinium, attempts to keep the laboratory in pristine condition throughout the ordeal, and Igor and Glinka, Dr. X’s lab assistants, vie for the doctors’ attention.
The play is directed by Brenda Hale and Tess Eells and stars John Berbrich, Nicole Rood, Patti Hogle, Josie Thomson, Natalie Pitcher, Stacie Hale and Tim Thomson.
The set was designed by Tess Eells with lights, curtain and sound effects by David Katz.
A 15 minute intermission with refreshments and a 50/50 raffle will be featured between two acts.
This is the last scheduled performance at the opera house this season. Admission is a donation to the opera house.
The opera house is located in the Russell Town Hall.
