CANTON -- The St. Lawrence International Film Festival will offer a workshop featuring the filmmakers behind "Here Alone" at SUNY Canton's Kingston Theater at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4.
Titled "A Writer, a Producer and a Director Walk into a Bar: How to Make a Champagne Movie on a Beer Budget," the workshop will offer an in-depth look at the process that led to the production of the thriller by director Rod Blackhurst, writer David Ebeltoft and producer Noah Lang.
Tickets for the event are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Students enrolled at one of the four Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley are eligible for free admission and an educational screening of the film at noon.
