Community groups and eateries around St. Lawrence County will serve Mother’s Day meals on May 8.

MADRID -- An all-you-can-eat Mother’s Day breakfast will be served Sunday, May 8, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Madrid Community Building.

The cost is $6 for adults, $3 ages 5-10 and free for kids under age five.

The menu includes scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes, sausage, French toast, and beverages.

Proceeds go to the Madrid Community Park Fund.

CANTON -- The Canton VFW Post 1231, 34 Gouverneur St., will serve a Mother’s Day breakfast May 8 from 8 a.m. to noon.

There will be carnations for mom.

The meal costs for $7 for adults, $6 seniors, $4 ages 6-12 and free for under age five.

The menu includes scrambled eggs, toast, sausage links, ham, home fries, pancakes, local maple syrup and beverages.

Proceeds benefit the auxiliary charities.

OXBOW -- The Oxbow Volunteer Fire Department celebrates Mother’s Day May 8 with a bullhead dinner beginning at noon at the fire house on Main Street.

A dinner, which will include salt potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, roll, dessert and beverages, will cost $12.

NORTH LAWRENCE -- North Lawrence Fire Department will serve a Mother’s Day bullhead dinner May 8 at 11 a.m.

Cost is $11 for adults, $10 for seniors and ages 5 to 12 and free for under age 5.

Menu includes bullhead or baked ham, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, rolls, milk, coffee and Kool Aid.

HEUVELTON -- St. Raphael’s Parish will serve a Mother’s Day Breakfast May 8 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Cost is $6 and free for mothers.

OGDENSBURG -- The Elks Lodge will serve a Mother’s Day breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon.

Mothers and children under age 5 eat free. Cost is $9 for everyone else.

Menu includes scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, bacon, hash browns, toast, orange juice and coffee.

Gran View will serve a Mother’s Day buffet May 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost is $23.95 for adults, 1/2 price for under age 12 and free for under age 3.

HANNAWA FALLS -- A Mother’s Day BBQ will be served Sunday, May 8, from 11 a.m. until sold out at Hounds Haven, 34 Keener Rd.

The cost is $10 for a half chicken, salt potatoes, macaroni salad, roll, carrot cake and more. The cost is $9 for seniors and $6 for chicken only.

Takeouts will be available.

The meal is being hosted by the Hannawa Falls Fire Department.
