POTSDAM – The Met: Live in HD’s next offering, Verdi’s passionate opera of love and revenge, “Il Trovatore,” will be shown live at the Roxy Theater at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, with an encore transmission at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8.
David McVicar’s production, acclaimed by critics for its fluid narrative and psychological acuity, will return to the Metropolitan Opera stage starring Sondra Radvanovsky, Dolora Zajick, Marcelo Álvarez and Dmitri Hvorostovsky. The opera features some of Verdi’s most famous music, including the “Anvil Chorus.”
Ticket prices for the series are: $18 for adults, $15 for senior citizens, $12 for students and $9 for youth age 18 and under.
