POTSDAM – A pre-season farmers’ market meeting is planned for April 5 at the Cornell Co-operative Extension Learning Farm, 2043B St. Hwy. 68, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The $20 fee to register also includes lunch.
Topics to be discussed include Salesmanship – Creating your Story; “Growing Your Market” Means Adding Labor – Keep it Legal; Using Social Media – Getting Sales from Facebook; and Update on Food Safety Modernization Act.
Presenters will be Stephen Ledoux, Community Educator with CCE Jefferson County specializing in Local Foods and Farmers’ Markets, and Anita Figueras, Finance and Personnel Manager with CCE of St. Lawrence County.
The deadline to register for the program is April 2.
