MASSENA - The Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 32nd annual Massena Heritage Festival Saturday, June 4 with a parade and festivities at the Massena Arena. This year’s theme is “Massena Pride.”

“Our day starts with the Heritage Festival Parade at 9 a.m., which will proceed through downtown to the Massena Arena,” explained Executive Director, Michael Gleason. “Everyone is looking forward to seeing what ideas all the organizations will come up with, using our theme Massena Pride.”

The chamber asks that you submit your parade entry no later than May 30.

At the Massena Arena the festival/craft show will be in full swing until 5 p.m.

Many new vendors will be at this year’s festival, and this year Breezy Maple Farms will have a petting zoo and pony rides.

“1340 WMSA and the Massena chamber are pleased to announce a talent showcase for school age kids. If you can sing, dance, or play an instrument…whether solo or in a group…we want to hear from you,” said Sandy Cook, radio personality.

The Massena Talent showcase will feature three age groups – grades K through 4, 5 through 8 and 9 through 12 – and will be limited to the first seven groups in each category.

To enter yourself or your group in the Massena Talent Showcase, call the chamber office at 769-3525.

All performances can be no longer than 3 minutes in length and must be family friendly.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 25.

In addition, Tractor Supply in Harte Haven Shopping Center is sponsoring an Adopt-a-Pet day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Massena & Potsdam Humane Societies will be there along with the Animal Food Pantry; Spay Neuter Now & the Neuter Commuter.

There will be a reptile display, Pet ID tag engraving, a bounce house, and Wilma the Talking Cockatoo.
