MASSENA -- The Amvets will host this year’s parade on Memorial Day, May 30 starting at 11 a.m.
An incorrect date for the parade was listed in the May 28-June 3 edition of North Country This Week.
Lineup will be at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. They will proceed down Main Street and turn onto Andrews Street, ending at Veterans Park.
“We’re getting more people every day saying they want to take part in it, so it should be a good sized parade,” event coordinator Mark Phillips said.
There will be a ceremony at the park with a flag raising, Taps played on trumpet, a rifle volley, singing by Holy Name of Jesus Academy students and music from the Massena High School band.
There will be buffet meals afterward at the Amvets, VFW and American Legion.
Anyone who wants to enter the parade can call 764-0686.
