CANTON - Madera Vox, an ensemble of a bassoonist, an oboist, a pianist, a vocalist and a percussionist, will perform at St. Lawrence University Monday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m. in Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall.
The event is open to the public, free of charge.
Madera ("wood") Vox ("voice") is an unusual combination instruments and voice, and the ensemble has a distinctive repertoire, as well. This classical crossover ensemble, performs progressive and provocative masterworks of the double reed trio canon, innovative arrangements and newly commissioned pieces.
