Lots to do outdoors at Titus Mountain’s 30th annual Fall Classic on Sunday

MALONE – Titus Mountain will host its 30th annual Fall Classic from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, Sunday, Sept. 26.

This North Country tradition offers outdoor recreation and activities that every member of the family can enjoy and raises money for many wonderful causes. This year, Hospice of the North Country has been chosen as the beneficiary and will receive $1 from each $5 admission to help fund their much-needed services.

The Titus Mountain Ski Patrol will be serving delicious grilled and home-cooked food all day and proceeds from food sales will support the patrol’s vital safety and rescue mission. They will put their skills on display at noon with a chairlift evacuation demonstration.

Free chairlift rides will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. Enjoy a scenic ride up and a leisurely walk down the mountain.

The band Lucid will be playing live from 1 to 5 p.m.

Titus Mountain’s Snow Sports School will host a ski and board swap.

Vendors and craft people will be exhibiting their wares.

Planned activities include youth and adult games, a bouncy funhouse for young children, hayrides, Chinese (silent) auction, apple/pumpkin pie contest and bake sale.

Season passes will be on sale at discounted prices and buyers can get their pass photo taken.

Racers can register for the coming season’s youth and adult competition programs.

Legal beverages will be served from noon to 5 p.m.

Admission is $5/person 12 and over. Under 12, admission is free.

On-mountain parking is free.
