Barb Heller and Danny Gotham will give two musical performances this weekend.

Folksinger and guitarist Barb Heller is the host of North Country Public Radio’s Thursday afternoon program “String Fever” and is regularly a co-host of TAUNY’s First Friday Music Jams.

A native of Potsdam, Danny Gotham performed with the popular Raquette River Rounders in the late 1970s.

Gotham and Heller first recorded an album of traditional Christmas music in the late 1980s.

The first performance, Friday, Dec. 21 at 3 p.m. will be at The St. Lawrence County Arts Council, 51 Market St., Potsdam. For more information visit www.slcartscouncil.org or call 265-6860.

Heller and Gotham will also present a benefit “Merry Christmas Concert” Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Canton, at 7 p.m.

Now living, performing and teaching music in North Carolina, Gotham returns to his North Country roots every holiday season and offers a benefit holiday concert with Heller at the church.

The concert will feature a holiday sing along and guitar duets. Donations and a portion of the CD sales will benefit SpayNeuterNow.

The two will be playing holiday favorites along with selections from their new holiday CD “All Through the Night.”

A reception will follow the concert.
