Local band Knatty Zeff releases CD on Sept. 7

They may seem to some like they belong at opposite ends of a spectrum, but on Tuesday, Sept. 7, two worlds are going to collide when hard rock meets literature.

Fast on the heels of the release of Marc Spicer's illustrated novel, Saviors Among Us: Situation Critical, local metal band Knatty Zeff is about to release an original CD single based on the work.

The end result is a special limited edition copy of the novel that comes complete with an exclusive copy of Knatty Zeff's CD single and a host of other goodies.

"Saviors Among Us" is a fast-paced, pulse-pounding, in-your-face musical onslaught that brings Spicer's adventure to life. Recorded in July 2010 at NCPR, Canton, by Joel Hurd and mastered by James Phillips, the product combines over 30 individual tracks into one four minute high-end sound experience.

Saviors Among Us 1.0: Situation Critical (Limited Edition with Knatty Zeff CD Single "Saviors Among Us") will be a local release only and will be sealed in a comic book bag and packaged with a comic book backer board along with coupons to Malone-area eateries.

The Limited Edition package will go on sale on Sept. 7 for the same price as the book’s original release price of $16.96 and will be available at Northern Music & Video, Potsdam.
