CANTON -- LittleGrasse Foodworks, 309 Miner Street Road, is hosting an open house Saturday, May 5, from 1-3 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

Visitors will have the chance to tour the farm and greenhouse, learn about the summer and fall share options and speak to the farmers and current shareholders about the farm.

littleGrasse offers a unique opportunity for families to eat seasonally and enjoy a diverse landscape, without having to grow everything themselves.

The farm offers the only veggie, flower and herb you pick garden in the region.

Refreshments will be served. The open house is taking place the same weekend as the Canton Canoe Weekend, held next door at Taylor Park Community Beach.

Visitors are welcome to drop in anytime between 1 and 3 p.m.

littleGrasse Foodworks is a diversified small-scale farm that produces and distributes vegetables, herbs and flowers for people living or working in the Canton-area. The distribution model is called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) which encourages a meaningful connection between the shareholders, the farmers and the food that is naturally grown onsite.

The farm is located 1 mile from the village of Canton and offers both summer and fall share options. littleGrasse offers healthy fresh produce, hands-on learning opportunities and the pleasure of community building through food.

The farm also offers barter shares, for those interested in participating weekly in exchange for produce.
