The college and recreational races are about two miles and the kayak and marathon class races are about six miles. Classes will be determined on race day and may include a recreation division with classes for men, women, mixed, college, adult/junior and rec unlimited open.

The marathon division classes may be: C-1 open, C-1 stock open, C-2 open and C-2 stock open, K-1 and war canoe/voyager. There is no pro class, but there will be a separate college class.
