This event will raise money for the Gouverneur Breast Cancer Fund and the Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Department to help men and women diagnosed with breast cancer.
This event will featuring women and men donning their bathing suits in frigid temperatures and speeding down a race track on snowmobiles to see who can reach the highest miles per hour. There will be different classes racing -- Fan Class, Stock 600, 700, and 800, and Improved 600, 700, and 800.
There will be extra sleds onsite for those who don't have a snowmobile but want to earn pledges and ride.
To donate, go to the Gouverneur Breast Cancer Fund official site, www.gouverneurbreastcancerfund.com, and make an online donation.
All money donated stays local, said the rally announcement on Facebook.
Registration for riders will begin at 10 a.m. Anyone who wishes to ride in this event can contact Johnny LaShomb at 315-842-2614 to get a pledge sheet and register.
The rider with the most pledge donations will be awarded a riding jacket donated by Adirondack Power Sports.
Races will officially start at noon.
There will be warm food served by the department’s Ladies' Auxiliary, Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. This event will be broadcast live on local radio stations, the department said.
