NORWOOD -- The Kiwanis Club of Norwood is hosting an informational session and a free dinner for anyone interested in learning more about getting involved with the organization.

The event will be held on Aug. 4 at the Norwood Beach from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. This event is designed to inform others on what Kiwanis is, what the club’s impact has been on the community, and how community members can become involved with the club.

Kiwanis is a community service organization that is dedicated to “serving the children of the world," the group said in a news release.

The Kiwanis Club of Norwood is comprised of community members from Norwood, Potsdam, Canton, Norfolk and other local areas.

The food provided will include hamburgers, hotdogs, sausages and an array of sides and desserts.

This is an informational session and no one is required to join. Additional information will be provided after the meeting to those interested in signing up.
