POTSDAM -- Two yoga classes for young people are underway at the North Country Children's Museum this month.
Little Lotus Yoga for Toddlers, for kids walking to age 5 with a caregiver, is a mix of music, movement, and stories based in yoga. It is taught by experienced yoga instructor Sarah Scafidi McGuire. It is on Fridays from 10:15 to 11 a.m.
Accessible Yoga is on Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., led by rehabilitation counselor Kathy Wilcox and open to all children including those with disability challenges. This class supports children's body awareness and communication skills through movement and crafts. It is suited for children ages 5-12.
Classes are $60 for six sessions. There are discounts for NCCM Members.
