MASSENA -- Friends of the Robert Moses Nature Center are hosting two events to teach kids about nature.

The Jr. Earth Keepers Club will meet Sept. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. and learn about butterflies.

They will play outdoor games and then search the woods around the Nature Center for caterpillars, chrysalises and butterflies.

On Sept. 20 from 1 to 5 p.m., the Nature Center will host a "Children of Hope" scavenger hunt fundraiser.

Registration is $5 for kids ages 4 to 12 and $10 for adults.

The first 75 kids will get a grab bag.

There will be prizes and refreshments.

All proceeds will assist the needy in Uganda.

Rain date is Sept. 21 from 1 to 5 p.m.
