NORWOOD -- Norwood American Legion Post 68 will host a jamboree to benefit Terri Bump and her family on Saturday, April 28.
Festivities will start at noon at the American Legion hall located at 10 Maple St.
Terri is battling an aggressive relapse in her cancer remission and is undergoing treatment at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg and will undergo further treatment at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.
Terri is active in the Norfolk community and serves as the chief of the Norfolk Rescue Squad. Her husband Rick is the Norfolk Fire Chief.
A chicken barbecue will be served starting at 2.
For $10, the dinner includes a half chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad and a roll.
Pizza and pulled pork sandwiches will also be served throughout the day. Several local bands have lined up to perform:
Divided Roads, noon-1 p.m.; Angus LaMora, 1-2 p.m.; Easy Street, 2:30-3:30 p.m.; Nyght Wyng, 4-5 p.m.; 6 Days, 5:30-6:30 p.m.; and The Broken Water Band, from 7-8 p.m.
Organizers plan a 50/50 raffle, a bake sale, a t-shirt sale and multiple Chinese Auctions.
