WADDINGTON -- “Intro to Oil Painting” will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at The Lake St. Lawrence Arts Gallery, 10 Main St., from 10 a.m. to noon.
Instructor Julie Pratt will teach how oil painting is different from other mediums, the pros and cons of working with oil, and the unique qualities offered by oil paint.
Students will learn the types and styles of brushes, different painting mediums and their uses, brushwork, starting a painting and different approaches to painting.
All supplies are included in class fee.
Students must be 16 years and older.
Pre-registration and a pre-payment of $25 is required.
The fee is $30 at the door.
