CANTON – An organizational meeting for students in grades 4 through 6 interested in the Battle of the Books will take place 2:30 p.m. Jan. 20 in the middle school library. Students participating form teams of up to four and choose an adult as a coach.
Teams will read a chosen list of 20 books, and during the Battle in May will be asked questions about the books and will need to give the book’s title and author as their answer. The winning team will face winning teams from other North Country Library System libraries.
Students who are home-schooled or attend Little River Community School or St. Mary’s may get an information/registration packet at the Canton Free Library. More info: 386-3712 x4 or e-mail vwhite@ncls.org.
