CANTON -- There will be a Hunger 101 program at the United Methodist Church, 41 Court St., June 1, at 6 p.m. Canton United Methodist Women are partnering with Gloria McAdam, GardenShare's executive director, who will share this interactive program about hunger.
Participants will have the opportunity to role play a head of household trying to get enough food for the family while working on a food budget, they will also visit a mock grocery store, social service office and the food pantry.
Following this roleplaying exercise there will be a discussion about the problem of hunger in our area.
