Hospice benefits planned in Potsdam

POTSDAM -- Two events to benefit Hospice are being held on July 26. Roger and Linda Willmart, with the help of family and friends are celebrating the 15th anniversary of their motorcycle run to benefit Hospice.

The run will begin at the Norwood American Legion with registration opening at 9 a.m. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m. with the 100-mile ride throughout St. Lawrence County making stops at The Skunks Nest, Madrid Hotel, J.C.River Run and returning back to the Norwood American Legion for a roast beef dinner, which costs $10 for those not participating in the ride. Prizes donated by businesses in St. Lawrence County will be raffled throughout the run and at the dinner. The run will also feature best poker hand with a 50-percent payback and a 50/50 raffle.

All bikes are welcome with a registration fee of $20. The run will take place rain or shine. For more information contact Roger or Linda Willmart at 265-5725.

For the second event, the Family of Robert Law is organizing a memorial tournament to be held at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club. It will begin at 9 a.m. The tournament format is four-person scramble and will include a $10,000 hole-in-one prize and longest drive contest.
