MASSENA -- Horizons Clubhouse, which is aimed at combating adolescent substance use disorder, is holding an open house Saturday, June 2.
Operated by Seaway Valley Council for Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention, the facility will provide a chance for young people ages 12 to 17 in recovery or at risk for addiction to develop social skills that promote long-term health, wellness and a drug-free lifestyle.
The open house includes flower potting, face painting, hot dogs and hamburgers and a free raffle for a summer basket.
Horizons Clubhouse is located at 56 Main St.
Horizons is open Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., with extended hours until 8:30 p.m. on select evenings. The clubhouse is also be open on weekends.
The clubhouse is funded through a $250,000 grant from OASAS.
