HARRISVILLE -- The Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department will host the 11th annual ice fishing derby Feb. 16 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The weigh in station will be at Sand Bay and prizes will be given. The entry fee is $25 per person to fish pike only, plus $10 (for a total of $35) to fish trout as well. Children under 12 can fish perch for $5.
Registration will begin at 4 a.m. at the fire hall, Church Street. Pre-registrants must still pick up tags.
Fishing will take place at Lake Bonaparte, north shore, with weigh in stations and prizes at Sand Bay. Prizes will go to the top three trout.
A 50/50 raffle will be held, and food will be available from the Boy Scouts.
Applications can be downloaded from the website at harrisvillefdny.com. Proceeds will benefit the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department.
