POTSDAM -- The 11th “Hankfest” will be held Saturday, July 30, with an afternoon of country music by local groups from 1-5 p.m. in the Sandstoner Park Pavilion near Pine Street Arena.
The host band is Oshier Country. The event always has a tribute to a legend of country music and this year’s tribute is to Merle Haggard.
The inclement weather location is inside the Pine Street Arena.
The event will benefit the Potsdam VFW this year through a 50/50 raffle and the $2 door prize collection. Many local businesses have donated items for the door prizes, and with a $2 donation attendees will be entered into door prize drawings throughout the event.
The Potsdam Charity Hankfest Group has arranged for a food vendor to be on site to accommodate the appetites of the audience, some games available for the younger folks that attend, and an appearance by Potsdam Batman is expected.
