NORWOOD -- A FUNdamentals of Poetry class will be held on April 28 from noon-2 p.m. at the Norwood Public Library, 1 Morton St.
Instructor Kirk Jones will give a brief lesson with some guiding examples followed by hands on activities.
Jones will discuss closed form, free verse, and abstract poetry.
Activities include brainstorming, techniques, style improvement, theme selection, and more.
There will be an optional workshop element.
Adults and children 10 and older are encouraged to attend.
This class is free and open to the public.
All materials included.
Jones is an associate professor of English at SUNY Canton.
