MADRID – Friends of Renewal House will hold their first Bikers Battle Violence fundraising event on Sunday, Sept. 19, to benefit victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in St. Lawrence County.
Registration for this event is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at The Ole Smokehouse, 3512 Route 14 in Madrid.
When registration is complete, riders will make five consecutive stops throughout St. Lawrence County and return to The Ole Smokehouse for a buffet.
The cost of registration is $20 per bike and $10 per rider. T-shirts and buffet are included in the cost of registration.
If you do not ride but want to attend, the buffet costs $10 and t-shirts can be purchased for $15. There will be a poker hand for an additional $5, a 50/50 drawing and many items to be raffled.
Renewal House is committed to providing crisis intervention, emotional support and various other services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout St. Lawrence County.
Their mission is to respond immediately to the needs of victims through services which empower victims and increase community awareness.
