EDWARDS – TAUNY will celebrate the release of the first-ever music CD on the TAUNY label with a concert by the Fraser Family of Harrisville on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Edwards Opera House.
The Frasers will perform Scottish and Irish selections from their new CD "Home of our Hearts." They will perform old-time favorites such as "Where the River Shannon Flows," classic Scottish tunes like "Loch Lomond," rousing party tunes such as "Jug of Punch" and "Hannigan's Hooley," some holiday favorites, and newer songs written by members of the family. The Frasers rarely perform outside their home community, so TAUNY's holiday concert offers a special opportunity to hear them.
Concert goers are invited to a special pre-concert gathering at the Last Lap, across from the opera house in Edwards, at 6 p.m. Copies of "Home of our Hearts" will be available for sale.
Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased using cash, check, or credit card at The TAUNY Center (53 Main St., Canton), (386-4289) or (info@TAUNY.org). Tickets may also be purchased at the Wood Family Grocery in Edwards, the Oswegatchie Coffee Company in Gouverneur, the Brewer Bookstore in Canton, and in Potsdam at Strawberry Fields Music and Northern Music & Video.
