GOUVERNEUR -- With the enrollment deadline for NY State of Health fast approaching, Fidelis Care will host an open house to help uninsured St. Lawrence County residents apply for free or low-cost health insurance.
The open house will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fidelis Care’s Gouverneur Community Office, 101 East Main St.
Representatives will be available to answer questions about health insurance and help eligible residents apply for enrollment.
This is a family-friendly event, with refreshments and activities for children.
The deadline for enrollment through NY State of Health is March 31.
Most New York State residents are required to have health insurance coverage in 2014 or face a tax penalty.
Those unable to attend the open house should contact Fidelis Care at 1-888-343-3547 to make an appointment to meet with a Fidelis Care representative.
