WADDINGTON – A free screening of a movie about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his march from Selma to Birmingham, Alabama to demand voting rights for African Americans will be presented at two locations.
The screenings, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Fair Housing Act, will be Thursay, April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Parish Center of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Waddington, and Thursday, May 3 at 7 p.m. in Clifton-Fine Community Center, Star Lake.
After each showing members of the St. Lawrence County Fair Housing Task Force will offer a closing discussion about fair housing and civil rights in the United States.
All are invited to attend this free event.
