POTSDAM -- Clarkson University's annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration dinner and recognition award ceremony will take place 6 p.m. this Monday, Jan. 17, in the Cheel Campus Center Barben Rooms.

Carl B. Mack, the executive director of the National Society of Black Engineers, will deliver the keynote address with a focus on King's "Drum Major Instinct" speech.

Mack delivered a dynamic address when he received an honorary degree from Clarkson last May.

Professor Shane Rogers will be presented with this year's 2010-2011 Martin Luther King Award.

Students will also deliver a spoken word performance.
