CHIPMAN -- Lifetree Café will discuss insights into body language at the next meeting, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.
The café, located at the Scotch Presbyterian Church, will discuss “Body Language: What You Say Before You Say a Word,” including a filmed interview with expert Jan Hargrave. Hargrave is the author of “Actions Speak Louder Than Words” and “Let Me See Your Body Talk.”
“Fifty-five percent of communication is nonverbal, 38 percent is from voice inflection, and only 7 percent of communication has to do with the words we say,” says Hargrave, who reports that a better understanding of body language provides an advantage in sales, business, job interviews and even romance.
Admission is free. Snacks and beverages will be available.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting.
Questions about the café may be directed to Noel Allen at 323-1430 or nyallen@twcny.rr.com.
