OGDENSBURG – Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is sponsoring a free Diabetes Education Day Monday, Aug. 1 in the hospital’s auditorium, Mansion Avenue.
The program will include information on meal planning, medications, exercise, complications and how to make lifestyle modifications.
Speakers include Karen Cole, certified diabetes educator, Alison Felt, dietitian, Gerry Hourihan, exercise specialist, Dr. Michael Seidman and Danny Sekhon, pharmacist.
The program will begin at 8 a.m. with a free breakfast and registration. A catered lunch will be served and the program will end at 3:30 p.m.
Those who would like to learn how to manage the disease more effectively may attend this free program.
