POTSDAM – The Potsdam Public Library will host the class Credit Prepare and Repair, part of its Adulting 101 Series, on Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 6:30-8 p.m.
The class is aimed at newly independent, young adults and teaches essential skills to make life easier.
Topics to be covered include: differing financial institutions and why you would go to them, how to handle a checking account, difference between debit and credit, financial goal setting, budgeting and saving money, credit reports and credit scores, how to improve your credit score, identity theft and fraud. The class is free and open to the public.
Future series topics will include healthy habits, household chemistry hacks, basic sewing and more.
