CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will honor local business owners who have supported the organization at its annual Membership Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, March 15, at the Best Western University Inn.

The annual meeting will additionally set the organization’s goals for 2018, welcome the new board and review the 2018 budget.

Rita Ostrander of Ostrander Bed and Breakfast, Canton will be honored with the “Chamber Appreciation” Award. This award is presented to an individual or organization that has gone above and beyond to ensure the well being of the chamber, its mission and members, a chamber press release said.

Jack Backus of Mort Backus and Sons Inc., Ogdensburg, will be honored with the “Chamber of Commerce Day” Award. This award is presented to a board member who shows a special interest in the well being of the chamber and St. Lawrence County as a place to live, work and play.

Attendees are invited to arrive at 8 a.m. for breakfast and a meeting program, which is expected to end at 9:30 a.m.

A $20 admission fee includes an old country breakfast of cinnamon French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee, tea, and juice.

The event is open to member businesses and friends and reservations are required.
