CANTON -- A demonstration and discussion of the latest New York State Common Core Math Curriculum for kids in grades pre-K through second grade will be offered April 2.
The meeting runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at SUNY Canton in Cook 133, the Early Childhood Classroom.
Parents, caretakers and anyone interested in learning about this new approach to teaching math are welcome.
The fee a $5 per person.
Ginger Thomas, an adjunct professor and experienced educator will lead participants through lessons similar to those the children will be receiving in their classrooms.
