OGDENSBURG – The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce’s annual Car-B-Que will be held Saturday, June 4 beginning with a parade of classic cars.
The parade will begin at Walmart and continue along Ford Street to the Dobisky Visitor’s Center. Registration for cars begins at 10 a.m. at Walmart.
To enter your car in the car show and parade, call the chamber office at 393-3620. Cost to register your car is $7.
Admission is free to the Car-B-Que. All cars will be displayed on the grass in front of the City Marina. Craft vendors will be set up on the sidewalk, across the street from the Ogdensburg GreenMarket.
There will be an old fashioned Ice Cream Truck, burgers and dogs, sausage and peppers, a pie baking contest and McGrath’s Texas Style Bar-B-Que.
At 2 p.m., the judging begins with a unique authentic Piston Trophy going to the Best of Show, People’s Choice, Ladies’ Choice and President’s Choice winners, plus 20 other trophies in categories such as Best Street Rod, Best Flames, Best 50’s Car, Best Classic, etc.
The Vietnam Moving Wall will be across the way in the Ogdensburg Mall parking lot, and the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Wounded Warriors Fishing Derby launching from the City Marina that day as well.
