POTSDAM -- Clarkson University will kick off its annual United Way of NNY campaign with a mixer for faculty, staff and administration Feb. 7 at the Snell Atrium from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Refreshments and craft beer will be provided at the event.
The actual campaign will be held Feb. 12-24.
Overseeing the campaign this year are: Suong Ives, chief inclusion and human resources officer; Marjorie Meashaw, administrative assistant for athletics; Loren Nowak, director of the Office of AccessABILITY Services; and faculty members Ali Boolani and Stephen Bird.
The United Way of NNY is awarding $83,000 in grants to St. Lawrence County human service nonprofits in 2018.
The two top county campaigns so far for the next round of grants are Corning Inc. in Canton at $24,740 and St. Lawrence University at $23,880.58.
