POTSDAM -- The Knight Club, the Clarkson Golden Knights men’s hockey booster club, is inviting fans, friends, parents, students, youth players and minor hockey coaches to the first Coach’s Club event of the hockey season.

The buffet dinner is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Sergi’s Italian Restaurant, 10 Market St., followed by a breakdown of the weekend’s games and an outlook on the season by Golden Knights Head Coach Casey Jones and team leaders.

Each Coach’s Club event costs $15 for individuals and $25 for couples. RSVP by Oct. 1 to cuknightclub@gmail.com.

The Golden Knights are coming off another successful season under the guidance of head coach Casey Jones and are primed for another run through the challenging ECAC Hockey schedule and into the postseason. Coming off their best season in 10 years, the Golden Knights will be striving to take their play to a higher level in 2018-19 after skating to a 23-11-6 overall record, a year’s end #12 national ranking and a third-place 12-5-5 ECAC Hockey mark last winter. The Green and Gold also advanced to NCAA postseason play for the first time since 2008 to cap off the 2017-18 campaign.

The past couple of seasons the Clarkson University Men's Hockey coaching staff has brought in nationally ranked recruiting classes and it paid big dividends last year helping the Golden Knights reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.
