POTSDAM -- Cinema 10 will begin its 40th anniversary season this month.
The series will kick off with “Safety Not Guaranteed” Monday, Feb. 11. Directed by Colin Tervorrow, the film follows two interns who shadow a magazine reporter writing a story about Kenneth, who is seeking a companion to travel back in time with him. Aubrey Plaza of “Parks and Recreation” stars as Darius, one of the interns.
Cinema 10 shows contemporary and foreign films every Monday at the Roxy Theater, 20 Main St., at 7:15 p.m.
Tickets are $3.50 per movie or $25 for season tickets for students and seniors. General admission tickets are $4.50 per showing or $35 for season tickets.
Other films to be shown this season include Chico & Rita, Feb. 18; White Elephant/Elefante blanco, Feb. 25; The Sessions, Mar. 4; 56 Up, Mar. 11; A Royal Affair, Mar. 18; Chasing Ice, Apr. 1; Neighbouring Sounds, Apr. 8; Nosferatu, Apr. 15 and Betting the Farm, Apr. 22.
The series is supported by the state Council on the Arts.
