POTSDAM -- The North Country Children’s Museum will present a “Photo & Filmmaker’s Workshop” May 7 from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the University Bookstore, 39 Market St.
Emily Lennox will lead the event.
The cost is $10 per child and aimed at K-5 students.
Kids will participate in hands-on filmmaking.
Children will learn about the history of filmmaking and discover the art of motion. In small groups, participants will use smartphones to make short, funny six second videos on NCCM’s Vine site.
Kids will be challenged to investigate aspects of filmmaking such as composition, motion, and transition.
If possible, bring a device capable of recording video and connecting to the Internet.
