CANTON -- The New York Forest Owners, Cornell and Black River-St. Lawrence Resource Conservation and Development Council will host a chainsaw class for anyone going to work with a chainsaw at the Cooperative Extension Learning Farm, Rt. 68, Canton.
Wayne Allen, retired Wanakena Ranger School professor, will be the instructor. Class starts at 9 a.m. Feb. 16 and a $10 surcharge is required to cover costs, coffee and donuts, door prize and raffle prize with class size limited to 30.
Any adult can bring a teen child no additional cost. Bring a lunch as class runs 4-5 hours. To register call William LaPoint 353-6663 or Paul Hetzler at 379 9192.
